When I was in JS2, the school celebrated her 135th anniversary. We had a whole week of no school. Entertainment every day for a week! I was ecstatic. On float day, we walked around Yaba with lots of singing, dancing, and drums. Ah! I was so hyped up. I didn’t want to miss a thing.
The “back to school” day made me sentimental because I got to see old girls relieving their time in MGHS. They told us stories and some of them had kids that were current students or also old girls like them. That was the day I resolved in my mind that all my girl children will attend MGHS. I pray I am able to fulfill that.
In SS2, the school organized a Leadership Training at the Sea School for all of us for a week. We got to learn leadership skills as well as survival skills for that week. It was the most daring and adventurous thing that had ever happened to me.
I never regretted any of the days with my friends in school. I enjoyed every second I spent especially my time as the Head Girl. If I am asked to go back in time and change my past, I would never change any of my moments in MGHS. Every now and then I remember some things that happened in school and I either smile or tear up because I really miss everyone at school. Being a student at MGHS was one of the best things my parents have done for me and I am sincerely grateful.
