The former Executive Committee of the Methodist Girls’ High School Old Girls’ Association, led by Major General Tilewa Amosu (rtd.), officially handed over to the newly elected 2024-2026 Executive Committee on Sunday, 24th March 2024. The handover ceremony was conducted in a hybrid format, accommodating both physical and online participation to ensure inclusivity.
The Electoral Committee, chaired by Mrs. Abiola Agoro, successfully oversaw the election process. Campaigns commenced on 26th February, with elections taking place online between 16th and 17th March. The results were announced on 18th March, marking yet another milestone in the association’s history.
MGHS OGA continues to set a precedent by embracing technology, showcasing a seamless and efficient online election process that reflects the association’s progressive spirit and commitment to excellence.
The goals of the Executive Committee are:
1. Raise funds and build the MGHS OGA Block.
2. Foster an inclusive sisterhood among old girls at home and in the diaspora.
3. Adopt and Practice of the MGHS OGA Constitution.
4. Advance welfare opportunities for our elderly members.
5. Network to enhance shared interests and collaboration for economic and social well-being of members.
6. Support the school management to elevate the profile and standard of MGHS.
