A Day of Glamour and Celebration: The MGHS OGA 146th Reunion Anniversary
The 146th Reunion ceremony, held on 24 October 2025, was a vibrant celebration of heritage, unity and sisterhood. The theme, Empowered Women Empower Women, with an Owambe Twist to the Party, set the tone for a colourful and culturally rich gathering that truly reflected the spirit of MGHS.
Sets made grand walk in dances along the red carpet, filling the venue with music, coordinated steps and joyful expressions that showcased the pride, creativity and unity of each generation.
The programme was enriched by keynote addresses from Dr. O. Payne of the 1948–55 Set, Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of the MGHS Old Girls Association, and Mrs Oyinkansola Badejo Okusanya SAN, a respected Legal Practitioner and Partner at Africa Law Practice NG and Company. Their wisdom, leadership and inspiring messages added depth and meaning to the celebration.
As the event drew to a close, the raffle draw brought its own excitement and laughter. From quiet prayers to bold declarations of “this one is mine,” the anticipation was high, before our lucky winners emerged celebrating their prizes with joy and good natured bragging rights, wrapping up the day on a cheerful note.
A heartfelt thank you goes to the Organising Committee for a job well done, delivering a seamless, joyful and truly memorable 146th Reunion celebration.
