CBT Centre Project Update & Fundraising Appeal

CBT Centre Project Update & Fundraising Appeal

We are pleased to share that work on the Computer-Based Test (CBT) Centre on the second floor is now at an advanced stage. As earlier communicated, four existing rooms were merged into one large hall to meet WAEC’s CBT specifications.

To ensure we did not miss critical timelines—especially the mandatory WAEC inspection ahead of the examinations—we secured a ₦20 million loan from the school, redirecting funds that would otherwise have been used for the old school hall CBT project. This decisive step has enabled work to progress on the project.

Thankful to report that in December 2025 we received inflows of 7.3m from the NA chapter to finance handrails for the first floor. The 90-95 set also sent in ₦12m as their contribution towards the project. Additional donations of ₦5m was received through the President.

The 71-75/77 set also donated 4m.

We acknowledge these payments with gratitude and pray for God to multiply the pockets of the givers and we trust that God will bless as many that desire to give in Jesus Christ name Amen.

So far, floor and ceiling tiling of the CBT hall have been completed, and electrical works are currently ongoing. Plumbing works for the entire building had already been fully executed, thanks to the generosity of donors who sponsored all the toilets. We remain deeply grateful to everyone who has contributed thus far.

Our target is to complete the CBT hall by 31 January.

To achieve this and deliver a fully functional, inspection-ready facility, the following works remain:

  1. Tiling of the first floor
  2. Installation of electrical fittings (lights and sockets)
  3. Provision of an overhead water tank and pumping system to ensure reliable water supply to upper floors
  4. Painting
  5. Connection to PHCN
  6. External works and general finishing

These outstanding items still require significant funding. However, with the strong momentum already achieved and the continued support of our sets, groups, and individual donors, we are confident this project will be completed on time.

This CBT Centre is not just another building project—it is a critical academic infrastructure that will directly enhance our students’ access to modern examinations and strengthen the school’s long-term capacity.

We therefore warmly appeal for continued and renewed support to help us cross the finish line together.

Warmest regards

Remi Ajose Adeogun
